AzureA beautiful varied route through the South Limburg "backstage landscape" with its typical "graften" (hedgerows) and slope forests.
You pass about halfway the smaller Juliana quarry at Cadier en Keer and at the end of the walk the much larger Quarry 't Rooth on the so-called Plateau of Margraten.
Both are old marl quarries that are now, after marl mining has stopped, becoming interesting new nature.
Departure and end point is the parking lot opposite "Gasthuis 't Plateau" (address: Gasthuis 2, 6268 NN Bemelen), a catering facility with terrace.
With the exception of a decent slope at the end, the route is otherwise almost flat.
