Grupello is a name that is undoubtedly connected to Kerkrade and after which streets and routes are named. This footprint also takes its name from this striking figure who even has a forest statue at the castle of Erenstein. This circular walk is just as striking as the namesake of the route. The Cranenweijer is a beautiful nature reserve with the only reservoir in the Netherlands. The castle but also the manor farms in this area are special. The Nieuw Ehrenstein farm is definitely worth a visit to visit, but also for a refreshing drink or meal.
