From our starting location, you drive to bike junction 12 and head towards junction 71 by crossing the Elspeterweg at the height of Camping De Tol. After junction 72, you ride past the Stakenberg play meadow and the lookout tower. From this 20-meter high tower, you can overlook the surroundings of Nunspeet, Elspeet, and Vierhouten, and on clear days, even to the Flevopolder. Continue your route along the Elspeetse Heide via junctions 73 and 88. Continue towards Elspeet. The touristic but also ecclesiastical Elspeet, a village in the municipality of Nunspeet, is known for its sheep flock. Located in a rural advertisement, the village is surrounded by forests and heathlands. The route continues via junctions 89 and 21. You will encounter junction 21 again later in the route. After junction 87, junction 86 follows, and you drive past the estate of Staverden along the Coach House and Castle Staverden. The publicly accessible park and castle are owned by Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen. From every Wednesday to Sunday, you can visit the brasserie starting at 11:00 AM. In 2012, Staverden, located in the municipality of Ermelo, was officially proclaimed the smallest city in the Benelux. After Staverden, continue your route to junction 1 (Uddelermeerweg) and via the Oude Garderenseweg and Molenbergweg, you drive through the 'Kleine Kolonie' towards junction 21. For junction 21, you drive past Mill De Hoop. The restored and fully functional mill is worth a visit. The mill shop is open every Wednesday and Friday, and in nice weather, you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea with homemade cake on the terrace. After junction 21, you drive past the VVV information point. Here you can find both tourist information and small gifts. The Historical Museum Elspeet is located in the same building as the VVV information point. If you want to know more about the historical backgrounds of sheep farming, traditional costumes, art, church history, and archaeological curiosities in and around Elspeet, then this informative museum is 'the place to be'. The route continues via junctions 4, 78 (Vierhouterweg), 40, 14, and 15. A bit further on, you cross the Nunspeterweg towards junction 12 and the start and finish location of E-Chopper Huren Veluwe.
