During this beautiful forest walk over two real 'mountains' northwest of Leersum and through the rural area around the hamlet of Darthuizen, you will see both at the beginning and at the end of the route - for example from the Owl Tower - the enormous damage caused by the fall wind on June 18, 2021. But other places in the village and surrounding forests also suffered a lot of storm damage that Friday evening.
