Visit the old city center of Dordrecht via Alblasserdam with ferry and water buses

From the Raadhuisplein in Krimpen aan den IJssel, where there is plenty of parking, you can cycle to the center of Dordrecht. The outbound journey goes via the ferry at Krimpen aan de Lek, followed by a beautiful route along Kinderdijk, through Alblasserdam and Papendrecht. Then, from the stop 'Papendrecht, Veerkade', take the Waterbus (line 22) to 'Dordrecht, Merwekade', where you arrive at Statenplein in the heart of the Dordrecht city center. After your visit to Dordrecht, you mainly return over the water from the stop 'Dordrecht, Merwekade' with the Waterbus (line 20) to 'Krimpen aan den IJssel, Stormpolder'. A tip: check the schedule on the Waterbus website for the exact sailing times. The total cycling distance is approximately 23 km; for the rest of the trip, enjoy the time on the water.
