Dunes between Meijendel and Wassenaar

A bike ride through the dunes between Scheveningen (Meijendel) and Wassenaar, where you can avoid the hustle and bustle of Scheveningen while still having opportunities to reach the beach.

Parking is available in the Bezuidenhout district of The Hague (Attention! Paid parking applies here from Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 2 PM [longer in Theresiastraat, where payment is also required on Saturdays], with a maximum parking time of 2 hours [Tip: If you come by car, start the tour after 12 PM and park in one of the side streets of Theresiastraat or come on the weekend]; however, you will pay significantly less than in Scheveningen).
From Bezuidenhout, you will ride through the Haagse Bos and soon reach the dunes.

If you are coming by train, both The Hague Central Station and Den Haag Laan van NOI are nearby. Bikes can be rented at both stations. From The Hague Central, follow the Bezuidenhoutseweg and from Den Haag Laan van NOI, follow the Laan van Nieuw Oost-Indië to the Haagse Bos.

On the way back, you will pass through Wassenaar, where you can deviate from the route and go to the center to shop or grab something to eat and drink. However, you can also postpone this until you are back in Bezuidenhout, as it is also cozy in Theresiastraat.
