The Geleenbeek rises in Benzenrade-Heerlen and meanders through the landscape. The Water Board has recently restored the original stream and bed. It is a beautiful meandering stream that cannot be completely followed but viewed from a distance. This walk runs through the green belt that makes Parkstad a true park. It's amazing how such nature is intertwined in such a populated area.
