The second route of 80 km goes counter-clockwise through the Drents-Friese Wold. From Appelscha you continue along the gravel paths of the Kale Duinen. Then towards Zorgvlied, Doldersum and through the beautiful scenic landscape around Vledder to the Veencolony near Frederiksoord/Wilhelminaoord, where there are beautiful long stretches of gravel road. You then return to Appelscha via Diever and Oude Willem.
In short: beautiful route, large parts of the Drents-Friese Woud, many beautiful gravel roads, very varied.
