This route is particularly suitable for families with adventurous children aged 6 and up. It is a fun way to get acquainted with mountain biking. The distance is reasonably limited at 15 kilometers, but there are still a few exciting climbs and descents in the route, as it includes the surroundings of the Bemelerberg. It's an ideal introductory experience to the MTB sport.

In Bemelen and Gasthuis, you can take a nice break on a spacious terrace before you climb the next hilltop. This special Family Ride mountain bike route is part of an extensive marked network throughout South Limburg, totaling 500 km in length. You start your route at the sports hall in Margraten, where you can also park.

The routes are marked in one direction for clarity and safety: clockwise. The routes are situated so that the mountain biker gets enough enjoyment, while the most vulnerable terrain, forests, and nature areas are preserved. Therefore, a kind request not to deviate from the routes and never to ride through vegetation. In various places, you must also consider other recreational users. Please pay attention to the warning signs along the routes.
