Willemstad, named after William of Orange, is surrounded by five waterfront forts, located along the Hollandsch Diep. The Zuiderwaterlinie Walking Path takes you past some impressive fortifications, such as Fort de Hel and Fort Sabina. After passing these forts, the fortified city of Willemstad unfolds, with well-preserved ramparts and the historic Mauritshuis.
