From Soerendonk you walk along the border with Belgium. You will come across the Saint Benedict's Abbey - popularly known as "De Achelse Kluis" - on your route. During this stage you will pass some beautiful fens of the Leenderbos, such as the Kraanvennen, the Biesven, the Dorven and the Hasselsvennen. The river Tongelreep is crossed a number of times and towards the end of the walk you pass the Venbergse Molen.
