This 'spicy' route starts at the Memorial Chapel of the deceased miners and climbs the former spoil heap of the Wilhelmina state mine. One of the highest (not natural) points in the Netherlands. You don't have to walk up the stairs, but you do have to walk down. This walk continues through Strijthagen and past the castle with the ice cellar and ponds. At the watermill we walk uphill to the Outer ring of Parkstad to cross it and then the route goes through the beautiful Cranenweyer with the only reservoir in the Netherlands behind GaiaZoo back to the Winselerhof.
