The Mergelland route takes cyclists through all of South Limburg. The route includes no less than 17 climbs. Well-known slopes in this classic cycling route are the Vijlenerbos, the Loorberg, the Keutenberg, and the Eyserbosweg.
In total, the Mergelland route has approximately 1500 meters of elevation. This is mainly due to the 17 climbs that are conquered.
