The route follows counterclockwise and after leaving Heusden, you cycle along a narrow bike path next to a golf course and then through agricultural land towards National Park de Groote Peel. Here you follow a gravel bike path along the edge of the nature reserve. You have now reached the province of Limburg and the route continues through Midden-Limburg. After passing the small village of Ospeldijk, you cycle again along the edge of the Groote Peel (mostly on gravel roads). The route then heads towards the village of Meijel with some gravel roads in between. 

At a roundabout where two main roads intersect, you cross the Noordervaart canal and soon come back onto a series of gravel roads along the Drainage Canal, through the Weijenhout nature reserve and towards the village of Neer. You cycle towards the edge of the Leudal nature reserve and cross the nature reserve on the north and west edges, partly on gravel roads. You then cycle through the Haelensebeek valley on gravel roads, and afterwards, over gravel roads through the Exatenbosch nature reserve. Next, you have the gravel bike path through the Beegder Heide under your wheels. Along the Kloppeven and through the Sterrenbosch, you cycle to Haelen where you pass the castle. You cross through Haelen and encounter some gravel roads between Haelen and the village of Nunhem over slightly undulating terrain.

Then you cycle to Buggenum and after passing the village, you ride on gravel roads through the floodplains of the Meuse towards Neer (Hanssum). After 73.5 km, there is a break point at the camper site/marina of Hanssum. Afterwards, you cycle up the elevated bank along the Meuse and then descend over a narrow bike path (be careful of other cyclists!) into the valley of the mouth of the Drainage Canal into the Meuse and climb out again. Via the gravel bike path through the Mussenberg, you cycle towards the Eikelenpeel. From here, you cycle over long stretches of gravel through the nature reserve, and then also through the Heldense Bossen nature reserve. After that, you head towards more agricultural land, but here too there is a mix of paved and gravel roads and occasionally you cycle through nature reserve (Vlakbroek). The break point is after 97 km at mini-camping de Peelweide. 

After that, the route goes again through nature reserves with gravel roads (nature reserves Marisberg, Kwakvors, Scherliet) and you cycle on a gravel road along the Helenavaart. Then you cross the Helenavaart and the Deurne Canal (the "double canal") and cycle along the Deurne Canal to the Noordervaart over gravel roads. South of Meijel, you head north partly on gravel roads and further on again through the green area along the Deurne Canal over gravel roads. You reach peeldorp Neerkant where some more gravel stretches are explored. Then you cycle over mostly paved roads to the finish in Heusden, with one more gravel stretch at the edge of the Groote Peel.
