The route follows counterclockwise and after leaving Heusden, you cycle along a narrow bike path next to a golf course and then through agricultural land towards the National Park de Groote Peel. Here, you follow a gravel path at the edge of the nature reserve. You have now entered the province of Limburg, and the route continues through Central Limburg. After passing the small village of Ospeldijk, you cycle along the edge of the Groote Peel again (mostly on gravel roads). The route then heads towards the village of Meijel with some gravel roads in between.

At a roundabout where two main roads intersect, you cross the Noordervaart canal and soon find yourself back on a series of gravel roads along the Drainage Canal, through the Weijenhout nature reserve and towards the village of Neer. In the hamlet of Hanssum, the first stop is at the marina after 35 km. Near Neer, you cycle to the steep banks of the Maas and descend on a narrow bike path (watch out for other cyclists!) into the valley at the mouth of the Drainage Canal into the Maas. After that, you cycle on gravel paths through the Mussenberg and later on long gravel stretches through the Eikelenpeel and through the Heldense Bossen. You then cycle towards more agricultural land. But here too, there is a mix of paved and gravel roads, and occasionally you cycle through nature (Vlakbroek). The stop is after 58 km at mini-camping de Peelweide.

Then the route goes through nature reserves with gravel roads (nature reserves Marisberg, Kwakvors, Scherliet) and you cycle along a gravel road next to the Helenavaart. Then you cross the Helenavaart and the Deurne Canal (the "double canal") and cycle along the Deurne Canal towards the Noordervaart on gravel roads. South of Meijel, you head north partly on gravel roads, and further along, you cycle again through the green area along the Deurne Canal over gravel roads. You reach the peat village Neerkant where several gravel stretches are included. You then cycle over mostly paved roads to the finish in Heusden, with one last gravel stretch at the edge of the Groote Peel.
