Rucphen Woods and Moor (Holland) - Val et Oli

We are in Holland, very close to the Belgian border. Despite its name, Rucphen wood is much more than just wood. It was during the ice age that the sand dunes that can still be seen today were formed. Woods, heaths and meadows did not appear naturally, but were planted by man. The result is a very diverse natural space.
Nice walk, but we did it on the first Sunday of spring when the weather was really nice. With walkers everywhere, but especially bicycles in the narrow paths.
The Rucphense Heide (beautiful moorland landscapes) is located in this area and is surrounded by the Rucphense Bossen. The Rucphense Heide is also used by the Ministry of Defence as an exercise area, but this does not preclude passage.

All this reserve is normally only accessible between sunrise and sunset.
