Loop ZH The Hague stork route

Start near the well-known hotel chain and then take a route through the vibrant city of The Hague. Discover the Binnenhof and the city center. The Hague then transitions into the coastal town of Scheveningen with its boulevard and the Kurhaus, ending at the beautifully situated Wassenaar. The route also goes through the Haagse Bos and the dunes of Meijendel, in short, a lot of nature on this route.

Oh yes, that stork. In the coat of arms of The Hague, there is the 'lucky bird' from the past, which can still be seen in several places, including the former town hall at the Daily green market. There are even 5-meter-high specimens to be found on Grote Marktstraat on the building of Sijthoff shops & offices. There are 12 large bronze storks displayed there. You will also encounter them on the streets on the Hagenaartjes (the Hague variant of the Amsterdammertje). And you might also spot the real ones at the nest in Koekamp opposite the Central Station. Unfortunately, it is empty this year.
