This varied walking route (10 km) in the footsteps of Vincent van Gogh takes you through the beautiful nature and along the heritage of Nuenen. Vincent van Gogh lived and worked here from December 1883 to November 1885. He created almost a quarter of his total oeuvre in Nuenen and painted his first masterpiece there: 'The Potato Eaters'. Nuenen and its surroundings can be seen as an open-air museum. Nowhere else are there so many buildings, sculptures and landscapes that have a direct relationship with Van Gogh. Stroll through Vincent's place of family life and inspiration
This walking route leads you from the center of Nuenen to the Nuenens Broek nature reserve, which is being restored to a more natural state. A good example of how Brabants Landschap is committed to preserving Vincent van Gogh's landscape. Further on in this walk you will pass old hamlets and the church village of Gerwen, where Vincent drew the St. Clement's Church. You can't get any closer to Vincent!
