From our starting location, you ride to cycling junction 12 and head towards junction 71 by crossing the Elspeterweg at the height of Camping De Tol. After junction 72, you ride past the Speelweide Stakenberg and the observation tower. From this 20-meter high tower, you can look out over the surroundings of Nunspeet, Elspeet, and Vierhouten, and on clear days even to the Flevopolder. Continue your route along the Elspeetse Heide via junctions 73 and 88. Proceed towards Elspeet. The touristic but also religious Elspeet, a village in the municipality of Nunspeet, is known for its sheep herd. Located in a farming area, the village is surrounded by forest and heathlands. The route continues via junctions 89 and 21. After junction 21, you ride past the VVV information point. Here you can find both tourist information and small gifts. The Historical Museum Elspeet is located in the same building as the VVV information point. If you want to learn more about the historical backgrounds of sheep farming, traditional costumes, art, church history, and archaeological curiosities in and around Elspeet, this informative museum is 'the place to be'. The route continues via junction 4, junction 78 (Vierhouterweg), 40, 14, and 15. Then, heading towards 16, you enter the culinary village of Vierhouten. Surrounding Vierhouten are four forests: the Elspeterbos, the Gortelsebos, the Vreebos, and the Vierhouterbos. It is assumed that the village, known for its many restaurants and the culinary event 'Rondje Vierhouten', owes its name to this. After junction 16, you ride towards junction 18. The route turns left (for your information: to the right is Het Verscholen Dorp. This place in the woods, consisting of a number of huts underground, also known as the Pas Op Kamp or the Secret Village, provided shelter to 80 to 100 fugitives during World War II. Now there are four reconstructed huts to admire, giving you an impression of what the hiding places underground looked like). Once you turn left, you head towards junction 29. The route continues through the Zandenbos, a forest located between Nunspeet and Vierhouten. The route then leads past the former 'Washing Pool', where sheep were washed in the past. After junction 29, you head towards junction 98. You cross the Eperweg, and via the Klaterweg, you will see Estate Schootbrugge on your right. You continue towards junction 27 (Bovenweg). Between Bovenweg and the A28 lies the nature reserve De Haere. The nature reserve consists of an extensive shifting sand area, and around the active shifting sands, there are pine forests and heathlands with juniper. Then you ride via junction 28 towards junction 6, through Estate Zwaluwenburg. The estate consists of a beautiful wooded estate on the transition between the high land of the Veluwe and the low fertile grounds along the Veluwemeer. You are approaching the endpoint, Brewery Jokkebrok, located to the left on Bovenstraatweg 1 (just before junction 5).
