Slenaken - Camerig

During this real hilly countryside walk, you climb up via a footpath to Heijenrath and then down through the Onderste Bos to the hamlet of Diependal. You follow a very nice path along a stream and then walk over a quiet little road to the Geuldal. You continue climbing up to the hamlet of Camerig with its beautiful half-timbered houses, and then you reach Restaurant Buitenlust at the top. From the terrace, you have a great panorama! After a break, you walk via footpaths to camping Rozenhof and then descend through meadows to the Volmolen. After a stretch through the meadows, you arrive in the hamlet of Plaat, and then you walk along field paths and forest paths to the hamlet of Eperheide, where there are again some fine half-timbered houses. You continue along nice footpaths to Heijenrath and then descend through the Groote Bosch to Slenaken. The route is very panoramic, and there are plenty of benches along the way. It is a typical South Limburg walk.
