Deep Trenches - Wide Views (Circular Hike Lüsekamp)

The circular hiking trail Lüsekamp starts directly at the hiking car park of the Schwalm-Nette Nature Park on Roermonder Straße near the German-Dutch border. Follow the path along the border to the memorial stone at Lüsekamp. From here, you can reach an observation hut, from which you can enjoy a wide view over the meadows of the nature reserve. After circling the moor water "Melicker Ven", also called "Blanke Water", you will reach the Elmpter Wald. Here you will gain insights into an extensive trench system from World War II. Along the wet meadows, there are monumental tank trenches. The path through the forest then leads you back to the hiking car park.
