Varied route across the De Hamert estate. The walk starts on the outskirts of the village Wellerlooi and leads through the woods and over the heathlands with a number of steep hills to the Gelderland Canal, a small river that flows from Germany to the Meuse. After about a kilometer along this meandering stream, you pass Hunting Lodge Op den Hamer. From there, the route continues along the Meuse and over the northern part of the estate back to the starting point. There are various benches along the way, often with a nice view. There is a catering service about halfway at the hunting lodge.
