This route takes you through the most challenging climbing area within the Dutch borders, the southern part of South Limburg. Over a distance of 89 kilometers, 1280 meters of elevation are covered, including 4 of the 11 steepest climbs in the Netherlands. Along the way, you will encounter many other slopes. If you start in Maastricht, the first five kilometers are almost horizontal, nice to warm up a bit. The landscape is heavily cultivated but truly beautifully arranged. You can fully enjoy this because the route largely runs along quiet, narrow roads.
