This route leads over the Sallandse Heuvelrug and the nearby Lemelerberg. Within the given condition of a loop (note that there is a point where the outbound and return routes meet), as many altitude meters as possible are accumulated. It's really not that simple, as the climbs are relatively far apart, never cover a lot of altitude meters, and are not particularly steep. The hardest and steepest climb is the Holterberg-west with 29 altitude points and 9% for the steepest 300 meters. Along the way, there is much to enjoy from the beautiful, hilly, green, and relatively sparsely populated landscape. The route almost always runs over bike paths or quiet roads.
