We did this walk in June 2025. From the parking lot at Natuurpoort de Achelse Kluis, various walks are possible. There is an information board on site.
We chose our own walk via a lookout tower, Hutje op de Hei, and the sheepfold. Along the way, there are many benches and views.
After 3.3 km, we reach the Hutje op de Hei. A covered picnic area.
After 8.4 km you can also walk via the old and new boundary pillar along the paved bike path.
Recommendation: After the walk, a visit to the Abbey.
