The circular walk starts at Driehuis station and takes you through two different landscapes. First, you walk through the village to the estate of Beeckestijn, an eighteenth-century estate with beautiful gardens and meadows. Next, you walk through forests and past sports fields to South Kennemerland National Park. Here, you walk through ancient dune oak forests and return to the inhabited world. The route passes the Westerveld cemetery and crematorium and ends back at the station. The unmarked route has been set out by On Track, which offers digital walks. Despite detailed descriptions, you need to pay close attention to avoid getting lost. The walk offers a mix of nature and cultural history. Along the way, you can enjoy the autumn scents and the tranquility of the landscape.
