The route heads towards Neerkant and through the Neerkant forests towards Meijel. The double channel Helenavaart/Kanaal van Deurne is crossed (100 meters unpaved, suitable for cycling on a racing bike).
The route then goes through the rural area between Grashoek and Helenaveen.
The Helenavaart is followed, first along the eastern bank, then along the western bank, to reach Griendtsveen.
The route returns to Heusden via Liessel.
