Walking in the nature reserves de Rondgors and 's Heeren Vrunten

This 6.5-kilometer long walking route goes through the nature reserves Rondgors and 's Heeren Vrunten.

The Rondgors is an Ecological Connection Zone (ECZ) that connects the Pannenhoef, the Vloeiweide, and Schuitvaart with the new estate 's Heeren Vrunten.

The Rondgors forms the watershed of the Bijloop and the Turfvaart.

It consists of semi-natural grassland that remains unfertilized and is extensively grazed by cows.

's Heeren Vrunten is somewhat more wooded. 's Heeren Vrunten is inspired by the 19th-century estates in this part of North Brabant.

A public footpath winds through the area 's Heeren Vrunten and crosses one of the ponds with a bridge.

The area has high nature values due to its variety and tranquility and connects to the ecological structure in this region.

'Vrunten' is undeveloped land and was owned by the Lord of Breda.

The Rondgors is best reached via the parking lot de Bak of the Pannenhoef on the Ettensebaan in Rijsbergen.

There is also an unmonitored bicycle rack at the parking lot.
