Maarn (The Most Beautiful Routes - The Dome of Stoop)

This walk over the Utrechtse Heuvelrug is a true discovery tour. First, you walk over a sand drift, then past a 'mountain house' with an alpine meadow at the door. Moments later, you find yourself in front of a solitary tea house, whose corresponding country house is built in Zeist. Finally, you pass through Zanderij Maarn, a sand excavation where, at the beginning of the 1900s, people used to manually fill wagons with sand. All in all, it's a route you must have walked.

Practical information
There is a parking restriction around the starting point. Outside that blue zone, you can park freely. If you drive under the railway line and highway and then turn left, there is a long-term parking area after about 300m.

Dining: opposite the stairs of platform 1, you will find Joli Café, open from Tue-Fri from 7:45 AM to 4 PM, Sat and Sun from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Nearby, you can visit the coffee corner of Bakkerij Van der Woerd, Tuindorpweg 53, Maarn, open Tue-Fri from 8:30 AM to 5 PM and Sat from 8 AM to 3 PM.
In Austerlitz, you can go to Ouwekamp from Thu to Sun from 10 AM to 10 PM.
At Eet & Café Onder de Pannen, Maarnse Bergweg 1, Doorn you can go from Thu to Sun starting at 11 AM.

Some paths can be muddy, so waterproof footwear is not an unnecessary luxury.
