This is a beautiful and flat walking route across the Zuylenstein and Kolland estates in almost any season. The wooded Zuylenstein lies literally on the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, while the varied landscape on Kolland is flanked by the Nederrijn dike and the Ameronger Wetering canal. Water management on the Kolland estate is a point of attention. On Kolland, approximately 2 mm of seepage water rises daily from the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and the Nederrijn. This can make the (clog) paths, in particular, muddy .
Restaurants and cafes are located in both the historic centre of Amerongen and in Leersum.
