The hiking route leads, among other things, along:
Maassluise trekvaart: originally 'Jaagpad' in the heart of the open landscape of Midden-Delfland.
Middelwatering/ Kwakelweg: Here you have a good view of the Commandeurspolder: this polder is mostly a moor resting area used by livestock keepers and a number of horticultural businesses. The name Commandeurspolder refers to the residence of the Commander of Maasland, who built a stone house in this polder in the 13th century: the 'Commanderij'. On the other side, you can see the Duifpolder.
Oostgaag: You walk along the bank path by the water, occasionally passing fences (private property).
Commandeurskade: beautiful views also of the Commandeurspolder.
Maasland: historical site, founded in the 9th century by the Order of the Knights Hospitaller.
