A beautiful tour that provides a good picture of the magnificent waters that this region has to offer. The route leads through a series of picturesque villages. When a strong wind blows, it can sometimes be tough to make progress on the open stretches! Along the way, you will pass by cycling nodes. These nodes (KP) are mentioned in the description.
Both Route 4 and Route 5 pass through Loenen on the Vecht. So you can easily combine these and create a two-day skating tour. Overnight stays at a convenient location for both routes are possible in Vreeland at the Hotel De Nederlanden (luxurious), or for example at the campsite or in the cozy fort rooms of Fort Spion (see point 9 in the route description).
