Parking and departure is possible from the parking lot at the 'De Rips' Forest Museum at KP 75.

On the outskirts of the Ripse forests is a forest museum with thematic panels under a roof, built in an authentic way from rip wood. The thematic panels illustrate how the area developed from heath to forest and how the village was shaped.

Old newspaper photos show the dike construction process, initially with six oxen and later with huge steam engines, as an impressive spectacle. The expressive faces of the diligent forest workers, planting, felling, and sawing trees tell a story in themselves.

The panel about the construction of the first roads reveals the remote location of the area. The forest museum uncovers the identity of the pioneers, foresters, and forest workers, the oldest house, and the fate of man and forest during wartime.
