Rolling hills, wide lawns, strips of rustling forest – you will find everything you are looking for in the beautiful South Limburg nature between Klimmen and Schin op Geul. The route passes through the elongated village of Walem and continues past the hamlets of Dolberg, Koulen and Opscheumer. At the quadrangle in Walem there is a Maria chapel dating from 1828. The route continues through the Krekelsbos which has a special vegetation. The route runs along the Walemergats (a narrow hiking trail). Halfway along this path is the MIddelpunt of South Limburg.

You can strengthen the inner man in various nice cafes in Schin op Geul or in the picturesque Dolberg. There you can enjoy your coffee in a wonderful environment. Parking is possible in both Klimmen and Schin op Geul. The route is also easily accessible from Schin op Geul station or Klimmen-Ransdaal station. This picturesque walking route can be followed via red poles. From Schin op Geul station, a approach route to Walem is marked.
