Welcome to beautiful South Limburg and especially to the municipality of Beek. This route of more than 7 kilometers offers you diverse landscapes, which are very special even for South Limburg. The route takes you over a plateau, past grafts, fruit orchards and crosses. But the surroundings of the Spaubeekerbos are the crowning glory: hollow roads and old quarries lead you through a green, somewhat surreal landscape. In earlier times there have been many gravel pits in this area.

Today, many plant and animal species are observed, including the slender primrose, the solomon's seal, the spotted arum and the forest anemone. In the forest there is also a ruin of an open-air theater from the fifties, which at the time was used by the local population for music and theater performances. Fortunately, the unique atmosphere of this beautiful piece of history has never been lost! During the route you will visit the village of Spaubeek twice, where you can relax in the local restaurants.
