From the courtyard, you walk about 500 meters along a busy road. Then you turn off to the dam of the Grebbelinie. A large part of the route runs along the dykes of the Grebbelinie path. You pass, among other things, the structure from 1615 at Daatselaar, the Engelaar, Renswoude Castle, and the Grand Canal.

The Fort The structure at Engelaar near Renswoude had an important function in the outposts of the Grebbelinie. The fortification protected the small pumping station at Luntherse Beek, which was used to flood the front land. In the May days of 1940, the German army had to deal with fierce resistance here.
