This is the western variant of stage 5 of the Marikenpad, the historic Nijmegen-Antwerp route. This variant goes through the villages west of the Regte Heide: Riel and Alphen (version for cyclists).

WARNING: AFTER THE START YOU IMMEDIATELY GO THROUGH THE HEUVELSTRAAT. FROM 11 A.M. IT IS LARGELY PEDESTRIANIZED. IN TILBURG, THAT MEANS GETTING OFF.
