The 'Catholic south' is known for its huge range of road crosses, chapels and churches. On almost every corner there is a story to tell about a religious statue or building. In the Hap- & Trap route along Holy Houses we take you on a journey along the various places of worship. It mainly concerns Roman Catholic churches, but you will also find some other houses of worship. The Hap- & Traproute of the spring edition takes you along beautiful or special churches in the municipality of Eijsden-Margraten. The route is more than 54 kilometers long and also great to cycle for a less trained cyclist. Or to cycle together with children. The route takes you past 18 places of worship.

The route starts and ends in Moerslag, at camping and eatery De Bosrand. From De Bosrand you set course for Sint Geertruid. You climb the Bukel and on the left you will see the church of Sint Gertrudiskerk of Sint Geertruid. The first house of worship on the route.
