WWu tour Venlo and Maas

Round trip for city bicycles or e-bikes from Velden in the Venlo - Venray region, along the banks of the Maas. You can park very close to the start at the sports facilities of Velden (Schandeloseweg 1-A, 5941 CP Velden).

You start in Velden and mainly ride along a junction route on unpaved bike paths. Later, you will follow the Gelderner Niers Canal on a very beautiful bike path. After that, you will ride through and around the Maasduinen to reach Wellerlooi along a path by the Maas.

In Knikkerdorp, you cross the Maas via a bridge and continue along Blittersdijck over Lottum until you reach Broekhuizen.

In Broekhuizen, you take the ferry to Arcen, where you will pass by kilometer 52 of the route, very close to the Hertog Jan brewery.

You continue through Arcen along the castle gardens of Arcen. At the end, you ride across Venlo.

The route initially runs partly on unpaved but still well-maintained roads and bike paths, but is not really suitable for racing bikes. The roads are mostly car-free or low traffic. Overall, you will ride 76 km.
