Scheldt route

This cycle route with the theme 'Water' goes from Bergen op Zoom towards Bath and Rilland and then back to Bergen op Zoom. While cycling you will get acquainted with the water and its various functions, such as the waterway for commercial shipping and wet nature reserves and recreation. Furthermore, attention is paid to greenhouse horticulture. The route goes over dikes and through an open polder landscape. Hence, the routes are wind sensitive.

The bike tour goes along the following waters: Zoommeer, Schelde-Rijnkanaal, Markiezaatsmeer, Westerschelde, Oosterschelde and Binnenschelde.
