The starting point is the large parking lot at the monastery of Wittem.

On this route, you can expect the following climbs:
- Schweiberg via Gehöft Dal
- Camerig-south
- Oude Akerweg
You ride into Germany via the EK-path 2000 in Vaals and then mostly along agricultural paths (the German term for roads that are closed to through traffic, except for agricultural traffic and residents). The road quality of these paths can sometimes be described as moderate (but not disturbing in the climbing direction). In Germany, you can expect the following climbs around the plateau of Bocholtz:
- Schneeberg
- Schlangenberg
- Vetschauerberg
- Benediktusberg
You will ride back to the Netherlands between the towns of Orsbach and Bocholtz. Over the plateau of Bocholtz, you will cycle to Baneheide and then in the direction of Simpelveld. The path between Baneheide and Simpelveld is paved but very bumpy over a distance of 400 meters. And then follow the climbs listed below:
- Oude Huls
- Klingeleberg-west
- Colmont
- Achtbundersweg
- Vrouwendelweg
- Dikkebuiksweg
- Wittemerberg, also known as Plettenberg-east
