The 22 km long hiking route, signposted by the ANWB, starts at the train station in Hoogeveen and takes you past Fluitenberg and Kalenberg, through the Forest House Ruinen to Echten and back to Hoogeveen. Between Hoogeveen and Fluitenberg, a shortcut is integrated into the route.
