Die 22 km lange, von der ANWB ausgeschilderte Wanderroute beginnt am Bahnhof in Hoogeveen und führt Sie vorbei an Fluitenberg und Kalenberg, durch das Forsthaus Ruinen nach Echten und zurück nach Hoogeveen. Zwischen Hoogeveen und Fluitenberg ist eine Abkürzung in die Route integriert.
