The Strubben-Kniphorstbosch is a unique piece of nature and landscape between Schipborg, Anloo, and Annen. It is the only archaeological reserve in the Netherlands. There, one can find a high density of archaeological monuments. Two burial mounds, about sixty burial hills, and centuries-old field paths leave their traces over the heath and through the forest. The area is grazed by sheep.
