This tour, which begins in Engelbert, takes you along the four (small) villages of Middelbert, Engelbert, Euvelgunne, and Roodehaan. This last hamlet was originally located by the river Hunze, whose old course can still be found in the landscape. The walk takes you through an area with plenty of greenery and water features such as the Middelberter-Platz, the natural swimming area Engelbert, the Hunze zone, and the international rowing course in Harkstede. The villages are part of the Meerstad expansion plan.
