Many paths lead to Onstwedde. The Juffertoren is like a beacon in the area. Three unmarried young ladies had three special brick church towers built, one of which stands in Onstwedde. From this village, you can discover the crane villages of Ter Wupping and Ter Maarsch. An atypical Groningen sand road leads to Ter Wupping, along the Mussel Aa Canal that was dug in 1913. At the Ruigeberg, the hiker feels in an untouched landscape. South of the Juffertoren, you cross the nature reserve Tichelberg, where bricks were once fired. The route starts at the Juffertoren, where you can also park.
