This circular path takes you around the village of Hellum.
Hellum is one of the villages located on the sand dune that winds like a green stripe through the Duurswold due to afforestation. The area on both sides of the sand dune lies much lower, up to 2 meters.
Originally, it was a marshy bog area. This area was cultivated from the north. It is now mainly used as agricultural land.
You can hike this Helmster circular path in just over an hour.
