This varied and tranquil walk begins with a stretch of Winschoten. The route then leads through the grassy forest paths of the Winschoterbos and the old estate Emergo to Oude Pekela. Passing Pekela, the walk continues along country roads through the vast Groningen farmland and along the dike cycle path beside the Pekel-Aa. From the dike, you have a beautiful view over a large, bird-rich nature reserve.
