With this hiking route, you will get to know the extensive and open Groningen field and meadow landscape. You will hike along the Rasquerdermaar (an old ditch) and through the picturesque village of Tinallinge, which is situated on a fairly large, 2500-year-old Wierde that is almost 4 meters high. Surrounding Tinallinge runs the Ochsenweg, with the farms located at the back along this "bypass" around the Wierde. In the past, farmers and livestock used to walk along this Ochsenweg to get to the land. Of course, you will also walk a stretch over this Ochsenweg. This hike mostly takes place on quiet cycling paths (often with grassy edges) and very quiet asphalt roads.
