Shortly after you disembark from the train, you will stroll through the beautiful and authentic center of Stedum. There you can admire the impressive Romanesque-Gothic Bartholomew's Church (with beautiful vaulted paintings from the 15th century), which is usually open for visits. After the village forest, you will take a wonderful walk along many canals and ditches across the vast Groningen agricultural and meadow landscape. You mainly do this via quiet bike paths, silent concrete roads for farmers, a long country road, and a long but also quiet asphalt road. Along the way, you will walk for a few minutes through the picturesque, characteristic Groningen village of Lellens, where you will enjoy the beautiful church and the paths around it.
